The Board is the trade association, like the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). There are also state boards, like the Maryland Association of REALTORS®, and local boards like the Greater Baltimore Board of REALTORS® or the Howard County Association of REALTORS®. The Commission (more specifically, the Maryland Real Estate Commission) is the government body that regulates the license law.
